Anne Erickson, APRN, CNP

Certified Nurse Practitioner

Like most of those who choose a career in nursing, Anne Erickson always knew that caring for people was her calling.

“When I was young girl, and my friends would fall and get into a scrape, I would put on their Band-Aids,” she says. “I even had my own Merck Manual, because I was so interested in disease and how the body works.”

After getting her BA from the University of Minnesota in nursing, Anne went on to earn her master’s degree in nursing from St. Catherine University, and has been a geriatric nurse practitioner since her graduation in 2014. She has continued to hone her skills across a variety of settings serving the senior population, including the ICU, skilled nursing facilities, and home care settings.

“When I was an ICU nurse, so many patients of an advanced age would come in and be very sick. That’s when I became very interested in palliative care, and the value of knowing people’s health goals and desires.”

Consultative Health’s patient-centered, personalized, and small-practice approach matches her own philosophy of geriatric care.

“The art of medicine happens when technique and science blends with the time to listen and work with families. That’s the sweet spot, the cornerstone, of caring for older patients,” she says.

When she’s not working, Anne loves spending time with her husband and 5-year-old daughter, enjoying Minnesota’s lakes and parks, while also taking time to unwind by watching movies and reading.
